| | Description | This is a single IR blaster. The picture shows top and side view. It is not a dual IR blaster. It works with TiVO, Slingbox, Hauppauge tuner card, G-link,NextGen , connecting blocks,and other Ir extenders.Replaces Panasonic IR Blaster (SH-WR10), 2010 and 2011 model SC-HTB10, SC-HTB500, SC-HTB520 Soundbars. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Place blaster so the 45 degree angled blaster diode is facing toward the TV's IR sensor located on the front of the TV. Point the remote at the soundbar and use the remote. The soundbar IR picks up IR signals and sends it to the device which repeats and emits the IR signal out of the bulb to the TV IR (or whatever device IR you have it pointed at).
The blaster has excellent range and distance. You can place the blaster on the sound bar.

I needed an IR blaster cable in order to use my tivo with the digital adapter that comcast sent me. I have a series 2 tivo and the cable techs told me I wouldnt be able to use the tivo with the new digital programming but it works just fine. Needed this blaster cable to help change the channels on the tivo. Worked well!!

This is just little part that wasn't included with my speaker bar, but it makes all the difference. After installing the speaker bar, the TV sounded great but the remote didn't work (IR receiver was blocked). After doing some looking, I found this as a good substitute for the recommended Panasonic part. It took very little time to get to me. I plugged it into the back of the speaker bar and Presto! Everything works! I couldn't be happier.

Item shipped quickly and simply, arriving in regular postal mail.
Within the bubble-wrapped shipping envelope, the product was enclosed in a sealed plastic pouch complete with handy adhesive strips, which weren't necessary in my situation.
My Tivo system readily worked with the IR device and the cable company's tuner box smartly responded to its signals. I recommend removing any protective plastic layer which may be still attached to your tuner box as it could distort the signal between the IR Blaster bulb and the tuner's sensor. This product was amazingly inexpensive compared to how vital it was to get my system running. I have not seen it available in stores anywhere.

Excellent range from Ir LED to your equipment. Testing proved to handle high amp with range of 50ft. Depends what you are using to drive it with. Normal load allows ample distance. Purchase the following to extend actual length of cable to 32ft long: 25ft Ir Emitter 3.5mm Mono Extension Cable By Infrared Resources
